On Saturday 13 May, 50 Friends and their guests joined a tour of the Valley Gardens and the Punch Bowl, led by John Anderson, Keeper of the Gardens, and Patricia Craven, Valley Gardens Supervisor.

The Chapel Wood Arboretum tree inventory

Last year the Chapel Wood Arboretum tree inventory team shared with Friends of The Savill Garden that we were asked to undertake a survey or inventory of Chapel Wood Arboretum. This was following the news that we had over a hundred champion trees there and we wanted to find out where they were, why they were champions, and what was remarkable about them.
