Severe weather closures
With a yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office, and following our severe weather plan, we have taken the decision to close a number of areas of Windsor Great Park and its facilities on Thursday 23 October 2025.

No matter when you visit, the ever-changing landscape of Windsor Great Park is home to an incredible array of flora and wildlife, making it a great place to explore the beauty of the Windsor Estate.

This shrub grows lance-shaped leaves with whorls of reddish orange to red flowers in autumn and early winter.
A small deciduous tree with long, deep scarlet, pea-like flowers in summer and autumn.
This upright tree grows cherry-like, glossy, yellow-flushed, deep red fruits from autumn and well into winter.
A clump forming grass with narrow arching green leaves. From summer to autumn, tall stems bear dark purple to black flowers on brush-like heads.
A perennial with ivy-shaped leaves and pink flowers with a slight fragrance.
A bushy upright shrub with dark green leaves and clusters of small fragrant white flowers from late summer to late autumn.
A bushy perennial with large double flowers with peach pink and yellow twisted petals.
A tender shrub with large deep bronze-red leaves and showy red flower spikes.
A large upright shrub with fern-like leaves and yellow flowers with very conspicuous red stamens.
This bigleaf hydrangea displays deep red or crimson mophead flowers in summer, often extending into early autumn.
An upright shrub with dark green leaves and cones of florets opening pale lime green and gradually becoming a pink and green mix.
A woody-based perennial with leaves composed of two pairs of heart-shaped leaves.
