Part of the Windsor Estate, Windsor Great Park is an ancient Royal landscape of forests, grasslands, lakes and gardens. Visit and you will discover 1,000 years of history including historical monuments, rare wildlife and National Collections of plants and Champion Trees.
An operational Estate with farms, vineyard, commercial forestry as well as residential and commercial lettings, the Windsor Estate covers approximately 6,400 hectares (15,800 acres) stretching for some 10 miles from Windsor Castle to Camberley and is home to a thriving business community.

Windsor Great Park is open all year round and is free to enter. We do charge for parking, entry to The Savill Garden, and tickets for Adventure Play with these charges contributing to the conservation and stewardship work across the Windsor Estate.

Adventure Play is a unique, hand-crafted children’s play area in the heart of Windsor Great Park.
Commissioned by George V, The Savill Garden is a 35-acre haven of gardens, woodland and seasonal displays.
Environmental Centre
The Windsor Great Park Environmental Centre runs natural activity programmes for children, young people and adults with the Wildlife Trust (BBOWT).

Our story

The Windsor Estate is designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, a Special Area of Conservation and a Special Protection Area for the Conservation of Wild Birds.
