Autumn Art Sculpture Exhibition at The Savill Garden
11 August 2016
From 1 September until 31 October this year, The Crown Estates Windsor Great Park will host their Autumn sculpture exhibition. Over 60 sculptures by British artists will be presented among the plants of The Savill Garden in Windsor Great Park.
The exhibition includes a mixture of emerging to established sculptors including Nicola Godden, most famous for her ‘Icarus’, which was displayed in the Olympic Village in 2012.
The exhibition is designed to encourage visitors to embrace the creativity the garden inspires, which is possible even during the autumn months at The Savill Garden, an all-year garden.
"We are delighted to be exhibiting these beautifully crafted sculptures" said Keeper of the Gardens at Windsor Great Park, John Anderson
"Seeing the art in the natural light, among The Savill Garden’s plants and shrubs, brings the sculptures to life. We hope the garden will become even more of a retreat with not only the autumn colours of amber and bronze, but also fascinating sculptures at every turn.
“A particular favourite of mine, and one I recommend looking out for, is Julia Webster’s ‘Dagger Wing’, a stunningly colourful glass piece on a wood and steel base."
The Savill Garden is open 10am to 6pm daily: • Adults - £9.75 • Seniors - £8.75 • Groups (10+) - £8.00 per person • Children 16 and under - Free. All children must be accompanied by an adult
