Take to the outdoors this Easter on the NEW Wildlife Trail at
Windsor Great Park
Available from 06 April – 22 April
This Easter there is no better reason for families to come together and use all their senses to become Nature Detectives and learn more about the treasure trove of plants and wildlife that make Windsor Great Park their home.
We have teamed up with the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust to take you on a journey to discover the wildlife in Windsor Great Park.
Starting at The Savill Building from 06 – 22 April*, families will look for the clues in nature as well as enjoy the beauty of the Great Park around them. Participating children will be rewarded with their own chocolate treasure (a non-chocolate alternative will be available) when they return to The Savill Building.
The Trail, suitable for children of all ages, is also suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, and at approximately 2km total (1.2miles) should take about 1 hr. Dogs on leads are also welcome!
Once back at The Savill Building, you can finish off your Trail at The Savill Garden Kitchen. With a new and exciting Spring Menu including Barbecue on The Terrace, hungry Nature Detectives can rest their feet and enjoy a tasty bite to eat and refreshing drink before heading home.
Since its creation in the 1930s, The Savill Garden has been an inspiration for all. This natural haven of beautifully designed gardens and woodland can be enjoyed by everyone, from dedicated horticulturists to those who just want to spend a relaxing day out with family or friends.
The 35 acres of interconnected gardens include for the winter season the renowned Winter Garden, New Zealand Garden, The Glades, Autumn Wood, the Hidden Gardens and Temperate House.
Opening times summer:
9.30am – 5.30pm daily
