A progressive independent commercial business, created by Act of Parliament. Our portfolio includes the whole of Regent Street and much of St James’s in London’s West End, prime regional shopping centres, Windsor Great Park, rural land and coastline, and the UK’s seabed.
The Berkshire Golf Club, which will host the English Amateur in 2017, was designed by Herbert Fowler and opened in 1928. Famed for their glorious heather lined silky fairways, wonderful greens and superb carvery lunch there can be no better place to spend a day.
Founded in 1928, The Berkshire Golf Club is home to two Herbert Fowler designed courses, both of which are widely regarded as amongst the best in the British Isles and both ranked among the top 60 courses in GB & I.
The Berkshire is a traditional Members’ Club which warmly welcomes visiting golfers all year round to enjoy the beauty of its pine and heather lined courses, and to face the subtle challenges of Fowler’s superb traditional design.
The Club serves a wonderful carvery lunch most days, or as an alternative has a snack bar with a wide variety of options for a less formal lunch.
The Club will host to The Berkshire Trophy, one of the UK’s major amateur competitions. Past winners include Nick Faldo, Sandy Lyle and Ross Fisher. The Berkshire will also host the English Amateur Championship in 2017 and has in the past hosted the British Senior Amateur Championship. In 2009 and 2015 it was the venue for final qualifying for the Senior British Open Championship.
Being less than 20 miles from central London, and very close to Heathrow Airport, The Berkshire is particularly well situated for visitors from overseas.
