In line with Government advice, the Great Park currently remains open for you to take essential exercise, if you live locally. (You shouldn’t travel outside of your village, town or area of the city you live in).
To help keep everybody safe, when in the Park you must follow Government national lockdown rules.
Your safety, the safety of our staff and other Park visitors is our utmost priority. We will not hesitate to impose tighter restrictions if safety is compromised.

As you would expect from the Forestry Team at Windsor Great Park, our cut trees will be fresh when you make your purchase. We will check that the needles are not dull and dried up, the branches are not brittle and the outer needles do not fall off if the tree is gently shaken.
It is part of the life cycle of the conifer tree that it sheds needles. This will accelerate if they are allowed to dry out. Some trees do so more quickly than others. The best way to ensure satisfaction is to care for the tree while it is in your home. A tree should be treated like any plant being brought into a warm, dry atmosphere.
When you get your tree home it should be kept outside in a cool shaded place, preferably standing in water, until it is required indoors. Before bringing the tree indoors it is an advantage if about half an inch is cut off the butt in order to open up the pores of the tree. Mount it in a water-holding stand or wedge it in a bucket with pebbles, small stones or screwed up newspaper, and place it away from direct heat. Keep the container topped up with water every day; you will be surprised how much it needs.
We can deliver your Christmas tree for you for a small charge and at a time that is convenient for you. Speak to a member of the team who will organise this.
