Windsor Castle & The Savill Garden
Windsor Castle is one of the official Royal residences and the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world.
The Castle has been the home of 39 monarchs, with the State Apartments reflecting the changing tastes of its occupants – particularly Charles II (r.1660-85) and George IV (r.1820-30).
With painted ceilings by Antonio Verrio and carvings by Grinling Gibbons, the State Apartments are a must-see on any visit.
